It’s a pretty exciting time to be alive. When it comes to “bidness,” pretty much everything is getting flipped upside down. It’s kind of like an entirely new age has opened up for enterprising people.

In the old days, you were taught to:

  • Find a market.
  • Make something they want.
  • Convince them to buy it.
  • Rinse and repeat.

You might find that journey pleasing or you might find that it feels like you sold your soul for money if you go down that road. For some people, it sucks the life right out of you to do something like this.

The good news is that, these days, you can do things “backwards…”

  • Figure out who you are and what makes you feel alive.
  • Figure out to WHOM you can be valuable doing just that.
  • Attract those people.
  • Rinse and repeat.

The first option requires you to make something that “fits in” with a large group of people.

The second option allows you to do what you like to do and then attract the people who resonate with that.

So in option one, you wake-up and go to work hoping that you’ll get “picked.”

In option two, you wake-up, “pick yourself” and spend your day doing what you like to do.

There is a catch with option 2. And that catch is that you have to figure out how to reach out and build “bridges” that lead complete strangers to what you have.

Another name for this is “lead generation.” And after you’ve built your media platform, LEAD GENERATION IS THE WORK.
