How to Stand Out Without Having a USP

How could you possibly stand out in the marketplace without even having a USP (unique selling proposition)?

I’ll give you the answer right away. You can stand out by the actions you take.

On first glance, it might look like there are only two types of actions you take in business:

  1. Actions where YOU are the primary beneficiary.
  2. Actions where your CLIENT is the primary beneficiary.

But that’s a little shortsighted. Life isn’t black and white like this.

There’s a third possibility:

Actions where you are reward with the position of secondary beneficiary by cementing your client’s position as PRIMARY beneficiary.

A simpler way to phrase that would be that you always put your client’s best interest ahead of your own.

Everyone probably conceptually agrees that’s a good idea. In practice, not everyone follows through.

And that’s an enormous opportunity for you to stand out if you DO follow through. If you, in fact, make this approach the foundation of your work.

Jay Abraham knows this.

And I’d recommend you visit his website today at this page and download the very first pdf you see at the top. It’s a powerful overview of his Strategy of Preeminence.

Now with all due respect to Jay’s work, another name for this approach could very easily be, The Strategy of Service.

But that’s not nearly as sexy now is it?

Do yourself and your clients a favor and read that PDF.

And thanks to Jay for making it freely available.
