What would it feel like to find out that you’re brilliant?
My hunch is that if you take a moment to truly ask yourself that question, you will immediately initiate the program you have running inside of you about this topic.
Here’s a quick summary of a very common program that runs when someone triggers thoughts about brilliance:
- Brilliance is a quality reserved for others.
- Brilliance is a quality reserved for the chosen few, never the majority and certainly never me.
- You can’t call yourself brilliant but you can try to get others to call you brilliant.
- You’re either born with it or you’re not.
For the most part, this program (like most of them!) is designed to once again focus your awareness on things outside of yourself. How many brilliant people can you think of? Is there a reason you didn’t put yourself on that list?
As best as I can tell, all but ONE of the items in my list above are total B.S.
The one item I do think is true is the last one: you’re either born brilliant or you’re not.
But the little talked about secret is that EVERYONE IS BORN WITH IT.
As John Taylor Gatto said:
“I’ve concluded that genius is as common as dirt. We suppress genius because we haven’t yet figured out how to manage a population of educated men and women. The solution, I think, is simple and glorious. Let them manage themselves.”
So the question isn’t a matter of “if” you’re brilliant, the better question is HOW? How are you brilliant? In what ways?
Do you know yet? If not, what an exciting adventure you have before you!
What happens if you start viewing yourself as brilliant?
What happens is that shift in perception will change how you think, speak and act. And those changes will ripple out into the world.
These changes will impact your business, your life, your relationships, everything.
How do you become brilliant?
You simply stand up and show the world exactly who you are.
