The Client Letter

We’ve had a few early mornings with our little guy, True.
Apparently, he doesn’t think it sounds like fun to sleep much past 4:45 or 5AM.
He’s an effective negotiator too. Screaming is quite compelling after all.
So here we are. Sitting and typing the Client Letter. Baby in the left hand, typing with the right hand.
The noggin still works at this hour but the typing is a wee bit slower.
When I think back to my “annoying” clients I’ve had in the past, I can see much more clearly where I made my mistakes.
You see, working with clients wasn’t really the source of my frustration.
The problem stems from the choosing of the clients.
I goofed up right from the beginning with them. I should have said, “No,” instead of “Yes.”
That’s why I have a lot of irons in the fire. The goal is to get to a point where you don’t need clients.
From that position, you make better choices about the clients you do choose.
Make better choices.
Choose your clients better.
Be willing to say “No” more often.
Respect yourself more.
Stop needing clients by actually figuring out a way to not need them.
Ask yourself, “How else can I package up my knowledge/skill to create an entirely new stream of income separate from the client work?”
That’s something to chew on over the weekend.
One more thing…
I opened up the Private Mentoring Program a bit early. And I’ve made a few changes you might be interested in. New Members are by Application only. Here are the rest of the details.
