The business supports your life. The business supports your life.

Boy how easy is that to forget?

You start off a month being deliberate about how you want your business (and by extension, your life) to go and then all h*ll breaks loose.

By the end of the month, your client work has taken on a life of its own and you have to run a sprint just to keep up with everything.

That sucks doesn’t it?

So who’s gonna stop it?

YOU ARE.

And it all begins with clearer boundaries. Saying, “NO” when someone walks up to your boundary and asks you to step over.

No. No. No. No.

Practice it if you have trouble. No.

It’s hard. Especially if you’re a recovering people pleaser like I am.

They might not like it… they might call you a jerk.

But you have a choice:

You can either STOP the insanity or you can suck it up, be miserable and probably take a few years off your life.

Hmmm…

Don’t forget, you don’t need to explain NO. You don’t need to justify it or rationalize it. It exists just fine by itself. NO. See how easy that is?

Saying “NO” is not about shirking responsibility, it is about remembering why you are here. And it’s NOT to be miserable.

You’ll find a TON of ways to improve your life with clients here.
