How to Get Noticed in the Desert

The Desert of Arizona
Rain 47 Degrees

Woke up to rain and mist and general gloom this morning…

My wife and I have a running joke that we’re a little bit like the original Addams Family. Gomez was the husband, Morticia was the wife.

I look out at the rain and the gloom and the first thing that comes to mind is something like, “It’s a beautiful day Morticia…”

My love of weather like this COULD have something to do with my caffeine addiction, (as if I need a real excuse to drink more coffee) but there might be other reasons too. (OK probably not…)

When you live in the desert, these are the days that stick out. The dreary, rainy ones. They are refreshing and such a welcomed change from all the sun.

Same thing with clients. When everyone is dancing around and waving their arms trying to get attention, the guy just standing there still is the one that gets noticed.

Think about your business and your prospective clients. Are you doing what everyone else is doing or are you doing your own thing?

Now “doing your own thing” has to be something in line with what’s important to your prospective clients, but there’s an intersection between what you offer that no one else does and what they want.

The goal is to find that intersection. There is magic there.

Because when you find it and start getting that message out into the marketplace, that’s when you start operating as an Incomparable Expertâ„¢.
