Thank you…
The fact is, despite what my mind might tell me at any one time in this journey through life, I am rich beyond measure… beyond measure. I have a lot to be thankful for.
I’m rich beyond measure to live and work how I choose and to have such a beautiful family who supports me in that. I’m lucky enough to have children who spend every day teaching me about what it means to be alive. And a wife who sees me fall short of my potential time and time again and simply smiles… knowing that the best is yet to come. For them, I am thankful.
I am also extremely thankful for the trust and attention you offer to me on a daily basis to read these letters. Without you, there would be no point to me doing this. So let me say THANK YOU. Hearing about how these letters help you on your journey is worth far more than you know.
I know you have things to be thankful for in your life. But the pressures of society aren’t really interested in us looking at those things. Don’t be thankful because you should be thankful. Be thankful because there’s a HUGE benefit that comes from BEING thankful. That benefit is perspective and a deep deep satisfaction with how things are NOW.
Today is the day to be thankful. Tomorrow is too. And the day after that. Being thankful gives you perspective… which is very valuable when this business hands out one of its many challenges.
We are all rich beyond measure. What matters is how we perceive that wealth. For me, I know I have everything I need NOW.
As I talk about very, very often, when you don’t NEED anything from anyone you somehow wind up getting everything. In business, in life… everywhere.
Weird how that works.
