I Can’t Believe I Ate the Whole Thing

Being the contrarian I am (yeah baby), we bypassed the turkey yesterday and roasted some chickens. Yum.

Everything was going along fine until we got to the pies.

Now if you didn’t know already, my middle name is GLUTEN. So anything even remotely related to a baked good is right at the top of my list.

I’m not going to incriminate myself by publishing how many pieces of pie I ate, so we’ll just leave it at “more than your average bear.”

Compared to other years, our Thanksgiving celebration was low key, understated, calm… nice.

It was just kind of different with no turkey you know.

Different is good. Good for life and good for business.

Look at how most people in your area of expertise are going about working with clients and DO something else.

I really do think it can be that simple.

Look at how they get clients. DON’T do it that way.

Look at how they get paid for their services. DON’T do it that way.

In my experience, there are VERY few (can’t think of one right now) things that the masses have gotten right about anything. So to look at them to help you make decisions just isn’t that helpful.

Most people are simply following the conditioning they have received over the years. They see how clients are supposed to act and they see how service providers are supposed to be treated.

That conditioning just bypasses any filter and they accept it as fact. Sadly, it soon becomes their reality.

You can do better.

Have a great weekend.
