Your “Three Words”

My journey over the past two decades can pretty easily be summed up as a never ending adventure to deepen my knowledge of myself.

“Wow that sounds so self-centered Jason.”

I hope so!

Understanding that you are in fact the center of your universe is the beginning of making an impact on the world. All value you add to the world flows from that single point of origin: YOU.

But you’ve got to understand who you are.

Without that understanding, you run into problems while you’re on this planet.

And without an acceptance of that understanding (aka SURRENDER), you are forever fighting a force much more powerful than the biological machine you currently inhabit.

So from my perspective, those two things are the priority: understanding and acceptance.

Without them, you will invest time, energy and effort chasing things that are not yours to catch, walking paths made for others to tread, achieving goals that are not for you to achieve.

“What did 20 years of you thinking about yourself get you Jason? What were the fruits of all of that?”

Well, I’ll tell you. It only takes 3 words! Twenty years for three words.

I give direction.

And I do it in a way that brings people closer to who they really are. Because for some reason, that’s the thing I can FEEL. WHO they are.

Go this way, go that way, down that road, up this hill… stuff like that.

It is the easiest thing in the world for me to do. To see what others cannot.

Does that make me better? Ha.

Does that make me more likely to succeed? Funny.

Does that make me smarter or something? Who knows?

No, it just literally makes me, ME.

And it makes me clear. I have a channel through which I can serve both myself and others.

As it turns out, my “work” is very much like play. It’s completely enjoyable to me.

What’s the equivalent of your “three words?” I don’t know. But I know it’s worth finding out.

The thing is, the WAY you find out is different for everyone.

I used to have such an impatient feeling about getting to the answer. But the fact is, you never get there. So you can just give up that idea and feel the great relief that comes with it.

Each day is a gift to unwrap one more piece of the surprise.

The magic isn’t in the destination, the magic is in the experience.
