Someday, I’m going to sit down and write a book called, “How to Get Clients Slowly.” It’s going to document my approach to client attraction and why I think it works so well.
Sadly, I think my book would be doomed right from the get-go.
Based on my years in marketing and selling, I’m guessing I would probably sell about 1 copy of that book. Who would buy it? My mother would probably buy it (maybe) but that would be about it.
Who in their right mind wants to get clients slowly?
Well, my argument is that YOU should want that.
Why?
Because you get better clients that way. Because you build more trust that way. Because you build more respect that way. Because you’re actually acting like a professional that way.
And what do all of those things add up to?
They add up to getting more money for doing less work. Your work is received as more valuable to the client than if it came from someone else.
Can you drum up a little patience in order to double or triple your fee?
Can you take your time “closing the deal” so you’re able to provide so much proof that you are the right one for the job that fee isn’t even a question?
My experience proves to me it’s worth it.
And I can point to quite a few examples of other people in a wide range of niches that know this secret too.
But don’t take my word for it, prove it to yourself. Once you see this magic in action though, you’re never going to want to go back to “hunting” for clients.

NOTE: Before we wrap up today, I have an announcement about The Rainmaker Letter. That’s the monthly paid newsletter I publish. Subscriptions are only $99 per year.
Right now, I make all of the back issues available to new subscribers. As it stands, there are 13 issues plus some awesome interviews just sitting in the archive waiting for new subscribers. Once you subscribe, you get access to all of that.
Access to these back issues is ending Sunday night. At some point, back issues might be available for purchase only to active Rainmaker Letter subscribers.
But for now, each issue is going to be between me and you as the subscriber that month… not the subscriber who comes along NEXT YEAR. If you aren’t a subscriber, you miss out.
The Rainmaker Letter is going to go the way of the moving train. If you hop on, you’ll be able to benefit from the ride. If you wait to hop on, you’ll miss some of it.
If you want the back issues that exist right now, you have to subscribe before Sunday night at midnight EST.
