What Progress Looks Like

I used to think progress would look like a brilliant flash of light that came down to me from out of the heavens.

I’m still waiting!

Instead, I’ve realized progress looks a lot like the opening of a flower.

It happens slowly, over time. And if you’re not watching, you’ll miss it!

This is a real problem if you’re waiting for the brilliant flash from above. You channel your focus and energy into waiting for that.

Days go by. Weeks go by. YEARS go by.

And you’re still waiting.

So here’s what I know:

The important things in life and business get done DAILY.

You master those things you do daily.

You make progress in those things you do daily.

So if you’re not working on it TODAY, are you really serious about it?

You don’t have to be serious. Maybe you shouldn’t be serious. The important part is that you figure out the truth for you.

If you want to be serious, then it’s not productive to talk about wanting to be. It’s only productive to actually do it.

The Advisory Program I created is about progress. There will be no flashes from above in the work I do with people there. There will be no instant successes because someone built the right funnel or chose to use some fancy EZ button software.

I would never make promises like that because I respect myself too much. And because I respect myself I’m able to extend that respect to YOU. And that means I’m not willing to bring anyone on a journey with me without full disclosure about what it’s going to be like.

So while there will not be any instant, same-day delivery to the Promise Land in that program, there WILL be consistent progress. One step at a time towards clarity. Questions come in, answers go out, more questions come in. That’s the recipe for progress: a steady supply of “what’s next?”

Look back at the last six months. Have you actually made progress or have you invested that time in something else? Don’t let the world shove its definition of progress down your throat. Progress means you are moving closer. Often times, “progress” comes in the form of struggle. That’s normal. It’s the MOVEMENT that matters.
