We’ve been taught to have an odd fascination with celebrity.
The training says we shouldn’t go “tooting our own horn” or “getting a big head” or engaging in “shameless promotion.”
But for those people who do those things long enough and BREAK THROUGH to success, then all of a sudden we are supposed to applaud them. We’re supposed to think they’re special. We supposed to think they’re something other than just another living being.
So the training includes these conflicting ideas. It’s tolerable when certain select OTHER people do it and succeed, but we little sheep should just stay in our place.
Here’s another word quiz for today:
What’s the phrase, carrying a good connotation, for someone who “promotes” himself or herself?
[Tick, tock, tick, tock…]
Hard to come up with an answer, isn’t it?
There’s not much out there in the programming that’s designed to build people up. That would be a problem. Because once you have enough people across the globe who feel WHOLE with no help from anyone, you lose control of those folks.
They can’t be influenced by others with famous faces, they can’t be influenced by promises of riches, they can’t be shamed or guilted into things, they can’t even be controlled by promises of great rewards in some after life in exchange for certain ways of thinking and doing in this actual life they’re living NOW.
These types of people are “trouble.”
Is it possible that the problem people have with “selling themselves” is because there’s actually SOMETHING WRONG with it at a very deep level?
And this brings us to the dual reality we live in today.
There are two primary levels of our reality. There’s the REAL flesh and blood reality and then there’s the commercial overlay that’s been placed onto everything.
Exchange between living beings was coopted by this thing called “commerce” which is a deadly thing if there ever was one. By deadly, I mean there’s nothing living in it.
It’s a fictional overlay placed onto the REAL world.
For example, we’ll take something as simple as Arizona. Arizona is a place with dirt and trees and water (OK, not much water). But the State of Arizona is not. It’s a piece of paper stuck in a drawer to which people have bound themselves. It’s a dead corporate entity to which living beings have offered their consent to be controlled by a set of bylaws.
People think they’re operating in the “real world,” but they’ve simply entered a war-like world of make believe.
It’s quite a rabbit hole, but one that you can navigate your way OUT of. More on that another time.
Because this “commerce” beast is actually WAR, you’ve got all these folks out there trying to “make it” in the commercial world not understanding what “making it” actually means.
The end result is there’s a long list of activities that make sense in “commerce” with which the human heart will not align.
The idea of “selling yourself” takes on this bizarre and grimy vibe for a reason. Because your HEART knows the truth.
But when you step out of that world of death and into the land of the living, you can view things quite differently.
You have a light.
You are here to shine it.
Making that light as bright, bold and powerful as you can does not bring with it the feeling of SHAME. Shame and guilt are anti-life.
And “promotion” is not even an appropriate word to describe this act either.
Shining your light at its fullest power is the gift you have to share with humanity.
