I Need to Get Me Some Clients!

Think process, not event. Think process, not event.

If you’re sitting there reading this and you need clients, the question to ask yourself isn’t “How can I get me some clients?”

The question to ask yourself is, “How can I build a system that will get me clients on a long term basis?”

You may not have the answer right away. But at least you’ll be asking the smart questions.

Getting clients is not something you do now and then do again 6 months later when you need clients.

Getting clients NOW is work you might feel you have to do.

But developing the system that gets you clients over the long term… That’s the work you SHOULD be doing.

It will pay off far better than the short term, crisis mode stuff.

Sadly, this work is harder. The pay-off isn’t today and it requires real thinking about what you want, what your clients really want and how to connect those two things.

After a while, your brain can start to hurt. But it’s a gooooood pain 🙂

It’s also worth it.

Stop thinking about “getting clients” as something you do. Start viewing it as a process you create, manage and optimize.

Once you do that, then you’ll start asking smart questions like, “What would that process look like?” “What parts would be used to put it together?”

Developing a client getting system using your website is what I spent about 2 hours talking about last night with a group of Client Letter subscribers.

We covered a lot of good stuff. What I can tell you is that it all centered around transforming your client getting into a strategic process.

A recording of the event will be available for purchase in the near future.

In the meantime, if you’re in the mood for some “head straightening” advice for working with clients, then here’s where you can find it:
