Today I have an interview for you that I recorded a little while ago with Kyle Tully, creator of the Consulting Tycoon website. Kyle teaches people how to grow their consulting businesses.
Here are some of the things you’re going to hear in this interview:
- How to be confident and comfortable that you “know enough” and are worthy of success, even if you are just starting out.
- How to STILL be confident even if you’re not in a business where you can “guarantee” results.
- Why figuring out what makes you different is so important and why it can be so difficult.
- Why Kyle realized that JUST working with clients was not an ideal, long term plan for him.
- How Kyle broke the “trading hours directly for dollars” link.
- Listen to Kyle’s approach for building more leverage points into your business.
- How to find balance between doing client work and developing those leverage points.
- What “productizing your service” means and how it can make your work with clients MUCH more profitable.
- How living the success lifestyle has nothing to do with buying fancy cars or living in a mansion.
What is most interesting about Kyle is the transformation he made from service provider to product provider who also performs services.
Kyle started as a copywriter, but the actual service doesn’t matter. It’s the principle that matters. The principle is this:
How do you take what you do and “PACKAGE” it up in various ways that still deliver value without you always doing so much manual labor?
This is the same journey I’ve been on.
I COULD work only with clients one-on-one, but I choose to have many, MANY clients through my Rainmaker Letter. It’s the same expertise, in a different package, with an unlimited ability to scale.
The interview is below.
