If you’re in business to maximize your revenue and profit, then the place to get that revenue is from the people who already have plenty of it.
This is so obvious it hurts. Unfortunately, obvious things like this sometimes fly past the awareness of yours truly for far longer than they should.
If you’re looking for clients in a place like ELance®, then for the most part, you’re going to get someone who wants fast and cheap.
This has little to do with you and everything to do with them.
You take your exact same skills, the exact same project and amount of work, and put it in front of a sweet spot client, and guess what can happen to your fee?
It can double, triple, quadruple or more.
It comes down to choosing your clients right. That’s the skill you work on over time, not how well you perform your skill.
But before you can even choose your clients, you have to know how you want your business to work. And before you know how you want your business to work, you have to know how you want your LIFE to work.
Today I want to share with you an interview originally reserved for subscribers of the Rainmaker Letter. I’m releasing it to everyone, because this 60 minute interview can change a lot of lives… for the better.
This is an interview you need to hear. Because in the 60 minutes that my featured guest and I talk about life and business, you’re going to hear things that you don’t hear too many places… especially in the world of business.
I’ve known my guest for almost 5 years or so ever since our kids started playing together in the desert of Arizona.
You’ll hear him tell his own story in the interview, but one of the big ideas I suggest you pay attention to is how he approaches the way his business should work.
You might not like how he does it, you might not agree with it, you might not think it’s smart… but it’s his life and he doesn’t care what you think (my words not his :). And that’s one of the big ideas you should write down.
