The Desert of Arizona
Sunny 77 Degrees
I can’t believe I missed it for so many years. But one day, I read the transcript of an old teleseminar by marketing expert Dan Kennedy.
I bought the thing to hear about attracting clients. But he didn’t start with that. Instead, he started with something that sounded really boring. He decided to make the priority talking about client management. At the time, that was really weird and completely NOT sexy.
I didn’t want to know about managing clients (boring!), I wanted to hear about attracting them (exciting!). So at first, I was a little bit disappointed.
How naive I can be sometimes.
It’s that material that I discovered years ago that opened my eyes regarding the REAL secret to success in the client business.
And you could say I’ve done a 180 degree turn over the years in my understanding of what it really means to work with clients.
Getting clients is straightforward, you just have to do the work. Managing clients, however, is another matter.
But it’s the managing of the clients where all of the good things are hiding. The MONEY might be in the “getting” of the client. But the PROFIT is hiding in the managing of the client.
This topic is so important, I’d go so far as to proclaim that for service providers, “client management is the new black!”
I’m no fashion maven, but you heard it here first.
Think about your own business. How much time, effort and thought is invested in the managing of clients? Not directly, of course, but in the development of a strategy, framework, methodology or process of managing them?
This isn’t something you make up for each individual. Instead, I’d recommend developing a core philosophy and practice about how this works in your business.
If you’ve been neglecting the client management part of your business, tomorrow’s the day to change that.
In tomorrow night’s online training (recording will be available for everyone who registers), I’m going to dig deep into the world of client management and walk through some of the biggest mistakes (and how to fix them) that service providers make.
Dollar for dollar, this is probably the most valuable training I’ve ever made available.
