You don’t get what you think about. You get what you believe.
This is something humans can do. It’s not magical, it’s not evil, it’s not mystical in any way.
It’s how your DNA is made to function. Use it or be used by it.
So what is a belief?
It’s something you’ve accepted as true that you’ve decided requires no more analysis or critical examination. It is a program that sits in your being and runs unchallenged.
It doesn’t matter what you believe. But the act of believing something interacts with the material of our reality in a way where that belief informs/supports/manipulates what comes to pass.
Look at your belief structure. If you like your current reality, don’t change it.
If you aren’t so thrilled with your current reality, however, there’s a good chance that making a shift in your belief structure will initiate some serious change.
Just imagine something in your life you BELIEVE to be true with every ounce of your heart.
Now imagine finding out it was all made up. Wouldn’t that mess with your head?
Depending how honest you are with yourself, and depending on what example belief you choose, living out the scene where you find out that dearly held belief isn’t true might create a PHYSICAL reaction (often a queasy feeling in your stomach) in your body.
I’ll go first with my own example!
As a child, I was taught to believe that those who didn’t believe as I did would face a horrific future. That’s a convenient belief to spread if you want to divide people against each other, by the way. Just tell each group they are right and everyone else is wrong. Job done!
But that’s the power of belief. Belief is so strong it splits up families, it pits brother against sister, it is reason enough to kill, it divides people who’ve never met each other and it keeps you living in a tunnel of your own making. That’s the short list.
If you want to change your life, take an honest look at your belief structure and start there.
Just know you’re getting exactly what you believe.
