My new friend is back from yesterday’s issue with a new “follow-up” email.

Here’s the most recent one:

Dear JASON LEISTER,

Hope you are well today…My name is […] and I run a small business consulting firm here in […]. I was wondering if you would like to use my services to help your business grow. I have been consulting businesses for over 15 years now. My main specaility is helping to raise capital for businesses. I also help merchants lower the cost of their credit card processing or I can even set it up for you if your not accepting credit cards now. Anyway, I was wondering if you would like to talk this next week sometime say tuesday or wedensday?

Here my website for more information on what I can provide […]

There are a lot of problems in this one. Let me just pick ONE. This is an example of a solution looking for a problem. A lot of service providers do this.

When you already have a SOLUTION and you make that known to a prospect with problems to solve, there is NO WAY you can be perceived as an advisor. You are a salesperson… PERIOD. Advisors help clients discover appropriate solutions. They might be the ones to deliver the solution, yes, but a good majority of the value they bring to the table is figuring out what the solution even is!

I think the “pick two” concept holds fairly true in client attraction.

The three items are: great clients, clients fast, clients with zero investment of money on your part.

You can basically pick TWO. You can get them fast, but you might have to pay.

You can get great clients with little/no investment, but they’re not going to come quickly. (This is the Platform approach by the way.)

Finally, you can get clients fast and free(ish), but they’re probably not going to be good let alone great.

In a few hours, I’ll be kicking off the Get Clients Fast training. I’ll be recording it for anyone who can’t attend live.

I’m going to give you my take on how to approach this getting of the client as quickly as possible WITHOUT resorting to things like sending the email I featured at the beginning of this letter.

Register here before 3PM EST.

Everyone who registers will receive a complimentary 15 minute brainstorming session with me to implement ideas you get from the training. (This alone would be a reason to register, but I could be biased 🙂
