Is it possible to think yourself so busy that you simply can’t entertain the idea that success could come without working hard?
Many successful people will tell you how hard they’ve worked to create their success.
But does that mean that hard work is required? Is that the truth or is that thought form so embedded in our psyche that we make it the truth?
Is the puritanical “no pain, no gain” program so invisible to us that we can no longer see accomplishment without effort?
I think it’s weird that somehow, most humans spend 8 hours per day (or more) “working.” In 2019, most of our time is still spent “working.” Despite the advances in technology, despite the growing collective knowledge of the planet, despite the innovations we’ve seen birthed into our society, “work” still takes 50% or more of someone’s waking hours.
Many people say you should choose your work wisely since it’s where you’ll spend much of your day.
I say, why are we doing this?
What would a world look like where we worked 10% of the time and LIVED 90% of the time?
Most people are too addicted to struggle (even “successful” people!) to relax enough to allow that to happen. How could you possibly feel valuable without working so hard? “It’s just not practical. Get real Jason. For goodness’ sake, someone has to pay the bills!””
Is there a reason we can’t produce 10X in 1/10th the time?
I guess there is if we think there is.
