Yesterday, my good friend Samantha passed away.

She was like a sister to my wife and me. And our kids are really close, like family.

She leaves behind a husband and two amazing boys who are taking one step at a time through a brand new definition of life.

Many of you know of Sam because many of you supported her journey to heal her body some months ago.

Yesterday, her pain and suffering finally came to an end.

You get to meet the real material of life in moments like these. And the real you just bubbles up right to the surface. Your heart opens. All of the silly things on your todo list and the “problems” cluttering up your mind just melt away.

If you listen closely, you can hear important lessons during these times. The lessons are always there, of course, but we’re usually too busy to hear them.

Almost everything is important and almost nothing is important, all at once.

If you’ve ever lost anyone close to you, then you know this feeling.

It’s the feeling when you get reminded that all of this is not real. What remains when all of this blows away, that’s real.

So what are we left with to navigate through this plane?

A few simple choices:

  • How much love will you give?
  • How many of your days will you spend truly being you?
  • How fully will you embrace the dance of life?

Dare to risk doing all three of these to the fullest of your ability.

You truly have nothing to lose.

Blessings to you Sam. You’re dancing again.

‘Til we meet next time…
