Why does the “media platform” I talk about so much really work?
Why does the consistent creation of emails, or videos or podcasts or blog posts, directed at a specific group of people, create all manner of goodness over time?
There are three reasons:
First of all, it gets you in the habit of exercising your creative capacity on a regular basis. Not only does this allow you to prove to yourself the depth of your creative power, it also makes it known to others.
Second, if it’s done with a little bit of “strategery,” this creation adds value to the lives of others. It is a problem solving machine, designed to improve the lives of other people without demanding anything in return.
If you’re creating, you have to have something to say. If you DON’T have something to say, it forces you to get something to say.
And this leads to what is easily the most important part of the journey of the Incomparable Expert:
The journey to discover your true self.
This is a journey most are scared to death to begin–and a journey that the “powers that be” can’t HANDLE.
The media platform is created to be a demonstration of YOU. To do that over any length of time, you must discover WHO that living man or woman actually is.
Much like an artist releases the angel carving from the block of stone, the act of creation slowly allows you to release the REAL you from the artificial constructs that have been hiding that being.
The more you create, the more you give, the more you receive. And that’s even BEFORE anything mundane like money shows up.
You will pay a great price for a far greater reward. As a wise man once said…
