We Don’t Do Urgent

I don’t spend any time in the traditional medical community anymore… but I used to.
As a child, I had more than my fair share of pills and potions to keep me “healthy.”
Doors Close Sunday Night!
Open enrollment for the Clients Suck Insider’s Circle ends at midnight EST, this Sunday night May 6. If you’re going to get in, you’re running out of time. Just one new client from what you discover could pay for your subscription for YEARS. Don’t miss out.
The reason I talk about doctors so much isn’t because they’re savvy business people. Some are, some aren’t.
The reason I highlight them is because their “positioning” as experts has been so ingrained in us by the system, that we don’t even see it as marketing.
We’re taught never to question them. And when we do, we’re often met with responses that are less than welcoming of our inquiries.
If you’ve ever waited for a prescription to be called into a pharmacy, you know that it happens when it happens.
The prescription gets called in when the doctor’s office is ready to do it.
There’s no option for “I need you to do this in the next 10 minutes.”
You can enjoy the same “I don’t rush) benefit in your business, but you have to award it to yourself.
You own your day. Your clients do not own it.
If you are a good steward of that responsibility, you will not allow yourself to be “rushed” by anyone, for anyone, except yourself.
You owe it to yourself to make sure that your quality of life does not suffer as you are building your business.
Your clients won’t like you better if you rush to meet their demands. Even if they do, being liked isn’t such a smart priority.
Being respected, on the other hand, can pay off big.
You want to be respected.
You get that respect by showing it for yourself first.
Everyone else gets the message and falls in line from there.
See you next time,
