A few weeks ago I finished a book by Tiger Woods’ former coach, Hank Haney, about his time working with Tiger.

The book, for the curious, is called The Big Miss: My Years Coaching Tiger Woods.

Why did I read this book?

Because I like to get insight into how high achievers think and live.

One of the parts of the book that really jumped out at me was when the author was describing an interaction between Tiger and his wife Elin following a big win.

She was ready to celebrate. He wasn’t.

Tiger explained his lack of euphoria with something like: “E, that’s not what we do… We’re supposed to win.”

In other words, there’s no reason for a huge party when you get what you expect. Winning is just what he does. It is what he expects.

It’s about expectations. And it’s about belief.

You want a real secret?

At the end of the day, you must believe.

It took me 36 years to figure out that THAT is the secret.

A belief is not a thought. A thought is a thought. A belief is something more. It’s something I talk about in a report called Just Like Magic: The Mysterious Secret to Attracting Success. Subscribers to the Rainmaker Letter get that for free.

So let’s turn the spotlight on you:

What do YOU expect for yourself? What do you expect is going to happen in your business? What do you believe at your core about WHO YOU ARE?

That’s where you make adjustments. That’s where you focus your work.

Because once you get that belief on solid ground and focused… well, magical things tend to happen. Beliefs affect thoughts, thoughts affect actions, and actions change lives, starting with your own.

Do you expect struggle? Do you expect greatness? Do you expect “just enough?” Which is it for you?

Get clear on that and make adjustments. Because whatever it is, you’re going to get it.
