Have you ever worked with a client where things started out well but eventually you came to the point where you couldn’t stand them?
I’ve had that happen once, twice. OK, a few times.
Each time, it’s been my fault.
In most cases, I think the cause was that I “hid” who I really was in an effort to get the business.
Eventually, “who I was” started to leak out and it became obvious that we were not a good fit.
There’s nothing worse than sacrificing who you are to get business. It’s unhealthy and it can make you downright miserable.
Don’t be afraid to be you, without exception.
It’s probably going to piss some people off.
But it’s also going to help you get to the people who belong working with you.
Deal with the short term confrontation and keep your sanity.
Life is too short to work with bad clients.
See you next time,
