The Only Way Out Is…

Yesterday, I watched a guy get rescued off the top of a mountain outside my back door.

I don’t know if he was injured or simply climbed up and couldn’t get down, but the results were the same: the helicopter came out and picked the poor guy up.

It would have been just like a movie had there been a soundtrack playing in the background.

Even now as I sit here at 5:45 AM, there’s a hot air balloon out the window flying up into the sky.

Things are always going up, things are always going down.

Some people saying going “up” is better. If you’re stuck at the top of a mountain though, all you want is to go down.

We are all on our own journeys of ups and downs. Comparing your journey to the journey of someone else is really just a diversion we create for ourselves out of fear.

As a very wise man once said, “The only way out is through.”

Which means you keep stepping. You keep your head up and you keep moving forward. There IS no other direction to go.

The real question isn’t, “will you get there?” The real question is “how much are you learning?”

Are you dealing with the same annoying client situations over and over again? Do they just keep repeating like a broken record?

Do you know why they do that? Because you’re not getting the lesson they have to teach you.

If there’s something annoying, fix it. Get to the bottom of what created that situation, then develop your solution to avoid it.

Working with clients is one of the greatest and most intensive self growth opportunities available. And you actually get paid while you do it. So all in all, it’s not a bad deal.

The lessons are there. Are you paying attention?
