The Money Contract

So if money is an artificial construct, then I imagine that our relationship with money is also an artificial construct.

Unfortunately, it’s not a construct about which we were consulted. It was simply created for us and given to us as Gospel.

And now it serves as an effective noose around the neck of much of humanity.

Take, for instance, the weird feeling service providers get when thinking about craziness such as doubling their fees. Whether or not we admit it, doing the same work for double the fee brings an odd feeling. I’d call it guilt, but this is a specific type of guilt. It’s not guilt AFTER the fact, it’s guilt before! Beautiful.

We often feel like we must do more now that we’re getting more. And many times, we feel like the clients will expect more. Won’t they?

Where do these thoughts and feelings come from? Are they true? Are they false? Are they helpful in any way?

Well, riddle me this:

Why would creator beings willingly give away their power to be ruled by a creation NOT of their making such as this artificial construct of money and our relationship TO it?

Hmmmm….

I can’t think of a good answer except that, perhaps we don’t know what alternatives are available to us.

So let’s take a quick walk into the Land of Consent! It’s a beautiful land where everyone takes responsibility for their own affairs.

There are no “rules” here to follow. There are no regulations or codes. There are only contracts (agreements) between consenting individuals.

These agreements are sacred. That means, anyone not party to the agreement has no ability to mess with it.

This is actually the truth about how the world (seen AND unseen) REALLY works. Contracts. Everything works on contract.

And if you look back over your life and business, you’ve made a TON of these agreements. Some consciously, most not.

Some were even made for you because your consent was presumed and never disputed.

This means that a lot of the contracts into which you have entered really do not serve you in any way.

What’s to be done?

You rescind and revoke your consent. You have this power and you may exercise it at any time.

One of the places you can begin are with all of the contracts you’ve entered into about what money means and how you’re supposed to feel about it at various times.

Feel guilty about raising your fees doing the SAME amount of work?

Go ahead and continue operating under that agreement with the system. Or refuse to be an emotional slave and revoke your consent to play the game that way.

Then choose a better way.

How long will it be before you TRULY understand how powerful you are?
