The Day the Podcast Died

So it looks like the old Feeburner service from Google finally bit the dust. I woke up recently to find my wife’s podcast feed in iTunes wasn’t updating. Took me a little while to realize we still had the old Feedburner feed in there. If you have issues with your podcast in iTunes, here’s a handy link to figure things out, refresh the feed, etc.

I’m using Feedblitz now. While it’s not going to win any web design awards (especially the backend, eek!), the service works well.

PlusThis Simple Email

If you use Infusionsoft and PlusThis, they just released a new feature that lets you offer simple one-question surveys (and trigger other follow-ups etc.) in your emails. Take a look. Pretty cool.

Jason Fried on Product Strategy

Here’s an interesting podcast with Jason Fried (pronounced FREED,) co-founder of Basecamp, about his take on product strategy. If you’re the type of person who enjoys counterintuitive thinking, take a listen.

“One Hour, One Watch, Every Day”

Here’s a cool example of a media platform created by designer Lee Yuen-Rapati. He designs and draws one new watch per day, every day. Here’s his instagram feed and here’s an article he wrote.

This is how you get noticed via demonstration.

MusicBed.com

MusicBed.com is a royalty free music site with MUCH higher quality music than normal. It’s not filled with a bunch of muzak, these are real musicians doing their thing.
