I’m testing a lot of different things with my offer for the Field Report subscription. Using this plugin from the folks at Icegram, I setup a simple exit redirect which gives the viewer the option to see a WRITTEN form of the salesletter should they choose to leave the video.
As different browsers treat this a little bit differently, the experience isn’t perfect, but it works.

I want to highlight the FixYourFunnel.com optin process because it’s interesting and pretty low friction. When you’re interested in the plugin, you’re taken to this page. Once you enter your information, you receive a traditional $7 book offer and a 14 day trial of the service.
This approach is something I use in pricing services. You could call it “the one client/one sale” approach. If the work I do for X generates 1 client over the next year for you, the fee I set should make that a good deal.
Thinking about it this way helps to make the buying decision more of a no-brainer.

In my case, if I get ONE order upgrade, I’ve paid for the service for the month. It’s a way to get/keep customers by helping to deliver a valuable result that everyone can clearly see.

Here’s a simple way to run split tests in WordPress. There are tons of fancy services (Optimizely, VWO, etc.) you COULD use, but this is simple.
I’m using it to test between video and written versions of the page.
The longer I go in business, the LESS I realize I know. But the more I understand about what to do anyway 🙂
