Something For Everyone

During those days in my business career when the only real success I had was the type I was dreaming about, I was on this hunt to create/invent an “EZ button” for some group of people to help them get some sort of result in their life or business.

That’s how people get rich, you know!

And if I could make getting some result (more customers, more leads, whatever) as simple and quick as hitting an EZ button for my clients and customers, I’d have it made!

The problem was that nothing I was good at was easy or quick.

But that didn’t keep me from searching. I always felt like there MUST be an answer. And if I looked long enough, I’d eventually find it.

Maybe there is an answer. I don’t know. I stopped looking.

And then, much like almost every major growth moment in my life, one day, nothing really changed. And then the next moment, how I looked at everything changed. And that changed everything!

I stopped looking for EZ buttons to sell to would be clients and customers.

I stopped trying to figure out what result I could deliver in the blink of an eye.

Then I decided to stop caring about people who would want an EZ button and start caring about people who wanted something far more important.

I started realizing I was wired to attract people who wanted to take the journey.

I was wired to attract people who wanted to climb the mountain, even if it took a while, even if it was hard.

I realized that, in this new world of mine, the journey WAS THE RESULT.

When you get clear on who you’re for and who you’re not for, decisions about what to do next get much easier.

If you want to make something that’s for everyone, you’re going to lose…on the inside FIRST, and the outside SECOND.
