The Client Letter

Today we get to open up the Art of Clients mailbag and see what goodies we can find.
Ah yes, hate mail. So let’s see… well this came in recently from a particularly angry elf commenting on an issue of The Client Letter. (The * was added by ME):
“Incredibly stupid article.
One minute you say to be focused and have a positive outlook, the next
you say it’s not all about ‘you’. This is just nonsense and a total
wate of my time. You need to stop writing aimless bullshi*.”
I’m assuming he meant waste of time.
Sometimes you just gotta chuckle.
But of course, we can learn something from most anyone. So I’ll give it my best shot.
If you have issues with anger, you really have to deal with them. Not because it’s the “right thing to do” but simply because you’re only hurting yourself if you don’t.
If you don’t deal with your own issues (whether it’s anger, a hatred of short people with pink spots, whatever…), you will eventually attract clients with the very same issues you have.
Look at your clients right now. Whatever annoys you about them is exactly what you’re putting out to the world. Clients aren’t annoying, they are your teachers! And they pay you! It’s just funny how that works out.
Let the words of the angry elf above be a reminder.
Tonight, the enrollment period closes for my Private Mentoring Program. If you get your application in before midnight EST, you’ll be considered. If not, you’ll have to wait until January.
I can deal with a lot of things when we work one-on-one, but if you’ve got anger management issues, I’m probably not a good fit.
Other than that, get program details here.
