I had a client ask me today on the phone what I’d do if I ever had to start over.
I’d have all of my experience, knowledge and relationships, but that’s it. No business, no list, no nuttin’.
I jumped out of the muggle world back in 2003 and I never went back. But in the words of Freddie Mercury, “…it’s been no bed of roses… no pleasure cruise.”
There was a fair amount of “turbulence,” shall we say.
But only because I had everything backwards.
I spent YEARS trying to figure out how I could get my piece of the pie.
Never ONCE did I ask myself what I could give to the world.
That simple question would have chopped off a LOT of my learning curve. But to do even better, I would sharpen up that question into this one:
“How valuable can I become to a SPECIFIC group of people with real problems they want solved?”
That’s the question I’d ask myself right from the get go if I was to start over.
Answering that question is the game.
The amazing part about it is you can start asking that at any time and it will always make the future brighter for everyone.
