“Clients just don’t respect me. They think I’m their servant or something. It drives me nuts!”
“I don’t know why every client I have always pays late, don’t they know I run a business?”
“I hate it when they just ‘pick your brain,’ get a bunch of free information and then you never hear from them again. Arrggghhh!”
“Yes that’s the ‘best I can do.’ If I could do the work for less I would have told them!”
“Just because they’re paying me a lot of money doesn’t mean they OWN me does it?”
These are just a few of the many gems we get to encounter when we work with clients. I might not have touched on YOUR biggest recurring client issue in the list above, but I imagine you have one. Maybe you have more than one.
Issues like these are what I refer to as lessons. If you get the lesson and learn from the lesson, you don’t have to repeat the lesson.
But most servie providers repeat their “lessons” many times until they get them… IF they ever do get them.
The lessons are not things to fix. The lessons are effects. They are the products of the things that you need to fix.
Usually that “thing” is found somewhere in your process. If you don’t have a “process” for how to attract clients and work with them, you need to get one. Because otherwise, you’re just making up each day as you go. And as attractive as that might be to your “free spirit” side, it’s going to drive you crazy!
On Tuesday, I’m doing an online training focused on a topic you don’t hear much about. But it’s a topic that’s far more important to your bottom line than “getting clients.”
The topic is client management.
Client management is what makes the difference between spending your life on the “getting clients” hamster wheel and developing a stable group of clients that love you.
Client management is what makes the difference between being treated like a PEER, a PARTNER and being treated like an underling.
Client management is what makes the difference between a calm life as a service provider or running around like a chicken with your head cut off.
If you haven’t registered yet, you’re running out of time.
Registration is only $49. But if you miss out, you’ll only be able to get this training as a part of the larger Client Mastery offering for almost $1K.
The event is Tuesday, and everyone who registers before then gets a recording.
