Sometimes clients can be really annoying. I’ve thought that a lot over the years.

Some clients are never satisfied…

Some clients take forever to pay…

Other clients drive you crazy because they’re unorganized…

I used to think that the clients were the problem.

Now, I understand that the clients are just a reflection of the problem.

Think about your clients. Think about the things they do that annoy you.

Let’s take just one issue that I bet you’ve probably dealt with.

That’s the client that just doesn’t seem to appreciate you.

That’s a good one and one I’ve felt many times during my career.

I know it’s going to sound crazy, but those clients are your teachers.

When a client shows-up and exhibits a quality you dislike, pay attention. Because what they’re showing you isn’t their issue, it’s yours.

The client that doesn’t appreciate you isn’t doing it on purpose. They’re simply reflecting what you feel about yourself.

On some level, you don’t appreciate you.

The next time you’re working with a client who rubs you the wrong way, ask yourself, “What is this situation showing me about myself? How can I learn from this?”

Shift your perspective. Clients aren’t an annoying burden, they’re an amazing gift. They show you the places you need to focus on to improve who you are in life and business.

That’s pretty valuable.

See you next time,
