How To Stop Undercharging

It’s easy to think that not charging enough for your services is a function of your self-confidence.

That’s the easy explanation. Unfortunately, it’s not so helpful. Because it leaves you with the difficult problem of raising your self-confidence.

How do you do that?

Well, all you have to do is sit down with yourself, face your biggest fears, dig down into the real core of who you are, begin to resolve all of the garbage you’ve been carrying around, maybe for decades, take full responsibility for everything in your life, admit you are powerful and helpless all at the same time, realize that you embody the spark of the divine that is common to everything and everyone, install some new belief programs in your core and allow them to rewrite the actions you take and the words you say.

That’s it! You’ll be done before lunch.

Ha! It even sounds harder written out like that than I thought it would! Upgrading your confidence in you isn’t like flicking a light switch, it’s a process. It can take a while. I’ve only been working on my self-image, self-belief for a couple of decades. I’m finally starting to get somewhere!

If you want things to shift more quickly, here’s another way to look at it:

If you feel you need to “undercharge” to get the business, it could be your self-confidence. Or it could be a clue that you don’t yet understand what I call the Incomparable Expert Formula.

What that means is that you still think that your prospects are coming because of the service your provide. And it means you haven’t realized that the way to WIN this game is to have them come, not just because they want the service, but more because they want YOU to be the one to do it for them.

When they want YOU, they will start to treat you that way. When they want YOU, you’re not charging for your service, you’re charging for their opportunity to have you do it.

A few days ago, I spoke with a Client Letter subscriber, now client, who said it felt like he was talking to a celebrity.

Now I don’t care much about being a celebrity, but when people say things like that, it’s more proof to me that this platform model works. You show up in the form of a newsletter, podcast or something else and good things begin to happen after a while. It would sound sexier if it was more complicated, but it’s not. Sorry.

Over time, you actually rewire how you think about you based on how other people start to think about you. After a while, you simply can’t ignore the proof. It might be completely backwards, but it’s effective.

I created an entire Incomparable Expert Formula video presentation AND a full written newsletter that walks through how all of this works. Both are yours, free, as a subscriber to the Incomparable Expert Field Report newsletter.
