How to Hold Your Breath For 90 Seconds, or 3 Minutes

Most people don’t like to have things mess with their belief structures.

They get really uncomfortable, often defensive and even mean.

I’m wired a bit differently for some reason. (Thanks mom and dad!)

I can’t think of a better day than to have something enter my sphere that shows me my belief structure is a load of crap.

Lately, I’ve been working through the Wim Hof Method, which is a unique way to oxygenate your blood that comes with amazing health benefits and allows you to do some super human things. Watch this if you’ve never heard of this. Here’s a podcast with him. (If you’re going to try this, note Tim’s warnings about not doing this before going in the water. It’s a different way of breathing which takes some getting used to to get the balance right so you don’t pass out! I just go slow.)

Make sure you watch this overview video and READ ALL OF THE WARNINGS should you decide to investigate this.

Science is finally catching up to Wim and proving that his methods allow you to directly control your endocrine system and immune system and create a long list of health benefits. (For the record, I don’t need science to “catch-up” in order for me to trust something, but some people do. So if that’s you, there you have it.)

One very small example:

Just before sitting down to write this, I held my breath. I got to about 36 seconds. Nothing to write home about.

Then I used the Wim Hof method and over oxygenated my blood in the way he recommends. It takes a few minutes to do this.

On my next attempt, I held my breath for 90 seconds.

I imagine as I continue that number will continue to climb. Holding your breath for 2 or 3 minutes is common. But that’s just the beginning of this exploration that goes very deep into reconnecting with your physiology and taking control of your health in a way few people know is possible.

If you had asked me last month if me holding my breath for 90 seconds without any practice would be possible, I would have laughed at you. I’m not laughing now.

When you look out at your life and business at those things you deem impossible… ask yourself, are they really impossible or just impossible within my current belief structure?

There’s very little that’s not possible.

If you’re willing to unlock your beliefs and admit you’ve been duped on many levels (I’ll go first!), you might run the risk of opening up an entirely new world to yourself.

What’s out there for you that you can’t yet see because your beliefs keep you blind?

In my case, I think MOST of reality is out there waiting for me.
