Got Milk?

The Desert of Arizona
Clearing 54 Degrees

Imagine you had a jar of raw milk sitting in your refrigerator over night.

Eventually… maybe after 24 hours, all of the cream from the milk will rise to the top. You get a beautiful layer of yellow-white cream and then the milk below.

The platform model is exactly like the raw milk and cream, except for one difference:

When you “skim the cream” (clients/customers) off the top of the media platform, more “cream” starts rising to the top. It never ends. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

What this means is that there’s not a lot of effort required to “skim the cream.” In my experience, it practically jumps out of the jar.

The price you pay is denominated in patience and self-control.

If you can’t control yourself, you dip the ladle too deep into the jar, through the layer of cream, and you start scooping out the milk. Not a good move. With every drop of milk you disturb, you run the risk of delaying the next batch of cream.

The key is that you allow the cream to rise to the top on its own.

What if you’re not getting “enough” cream? The solution isn’t to look harder, it’s to add more milk (prospects) to the jar.
