The Desert of Arizona
Dusk 78 Degrees
This is Amelia. I’m 11 years old. That’s me right there in the picture holding my little sister. Usually my dad writes you a message every day, but this time it’s my turn!
(He doesn’t know I’m doing this… and I am sending it tonight before he notices!)
Starting Monday morning, my dad is going to have his hands full!
You see, my mom’s away for the next few days so he’s gonna be busy. REALLY busy. We’ll try to go easy on him, but you never know what’s going to happen.
I’ve been reading my dad’s emails for the last few months. I get them on my Nook® everyday just like you do. I like business stuff. (I’m also really into Nancy Drew books.) I do lemonade stands, I sell necklaces, I clean the house. Oh, and I’m even building (ok, my dad is) a pet website I’m going to work on.
A lot of people don’t like business and that’s fine. When I started, I didn’t really like when people said, “No…” when I asked them if they wanted to buy something, but you get over it.
Have you ever felt like that? You just hate it when they say, “No!” Well, if I’ve learned anything from my dad it’s that you just have to keep going and do what you want to do.
I think my dad probably talks about that a lot. I know he used to care A LOT about what other people thought about him too, but he’s getting better. He’s always saying stuff like, “You just can’t care what other people think about you…”
I guess it’s good advice, but when it’s coming from your dad it’s a little harder to take!
I know my dad sends you some advice every day (he’s always dishing out advice around here too), but I really think it’s a lot more fun to go shopping.
In particular, I like stuffed animals. Just the other day I got all of mine out and counted them. Over 170!
So I’m going to have a sale… because sales are fun!
So starting right now…
You can get 25% off everything if you use coupon code AMELIA. (We’ll see how long it takes him to notice!)
Here’s where you can find all of the things he sells.
Now I really have no idea when my dad is going to figure out what I’ve done. I’ll keep him busy for as long as I can. But I’m not making any promises. So if you want to use the coupon you need to do it quickly.
If it stops working, you’ll know why!
As my dad always says…
Nowhere to go but forward!
Amelia
