So just how big should your “net” be to attract clients?
And what does a net look like exactly?
For me, my net is writing. Writing in email like this. Writing articles like these. Writing in report form like this, writing my Hotsheet.
My focus is on creating a net that is valuable and interesting enough that it’s actually enjoyable, useful and attractive all by itself.
I’m not trying to be crafty, I’m just trying to be helpful.
My net doesn’t “sell” me directly. It’s simply a constant demonstration of what I’m about, what I like, what I am good at doing.
I wake up and work on my net. I make it more effective, I patch the holes, I dream up ways to make it better.
I focus on what I do control, not what I’d like to control.
I don’t focus on the fish.
I focus on the net.
How big is your net? How good is your net? How attractive is your net?
Does your “net” add value to the life of your prospect or does it just sell you?
Do you even have a net that’s big enough to give you any real chance of success?
Focus on your net long enough and pretty soon you’ll start to find the fish.
You’ll wonder where they came from.
What’s the best way to get clients?
Build a net. This shows you how.
