Fools Rush In

The Client Letter

It’s a normal reaction to get excited when the phone rings and there’s a potential client on the other end, isn’t it?

I’ve done it, you’ve probably done it… we’ve all done it.

It’s also a normal reaction to say, “I can help you with that,” to a prospective client who just got done explaining their situation. Isn’t it?

Doesn’t behavior like that show you know what you’re doing? Doesn’t that show your willingness to help your client?

You’d think that behavior like that would work in your favor. It should be a good thing to be eager and to want to help your clients, right?

Well, it’s not.

In fact, being eager to please can push a prospective client away like nothing else.

This is a universal law of nature.

If you are too eager, things will run away from you.

And that’s because most “eager” people aren’t really eager — they are needy. And when you give off energy that is so clearly flavored by need and lack, things will run away from you.

The harder you “try,” the worse it will get. Would YOU want to be around someone like that?

You will repel the very things you are trying so hard to attract.

So don’t make life difficult for yourself.

Clients are attracted to the energy of confidence, abundance and power.

Power does not mean what you think it means. Power is not what you see on TV or in the entertainment industry, also known as the news media.

Power is silence.

Power is doing less.

Power is being free of attachment.

Power is having no one to please.

Power is being nothing, and a nobody.

Working with potential clients is not a linear progression towards a goal.

You are leading a dance. You are flexible but in control.

This is the Art of Clients.

This is the skill you must develop.

And it begins with the discipline to slow down. Do not be needy… do not emit lack.

Be cool, calm, collected.

Professionals take their time.

Successful professionals really take their time.

Only fools rush in.

Don’t be a fool.

P.S. On Monday night at midnight EST, the rate for personal coaching will be raised from $397 per month to $997 per month. This will obviously make the price of entry too high for some. However, I’m making this change to keep demand in line and keep the program manageable for me. To lock in the current rate, you need to enroll before Monday night at midnight.
