Think about the last time you were criticized by your client. They always know JUST where to press don’t they? That kind of stuff hurts if you’re not prepared for it.

It’s easy to take on those criticisms as baggage. Over time, it can really wear you down, turn you into the world’s biggest cynic, and even make you forget that you actually enjoy your business.

But what if you viewed those criticisms as gifts?

More than that… what if you viewed those criticisms as messengers? Messengers with important things you need to discover about yourself?

Well that just changes the feeling of it all doesn’t it?

Instead of viewing the criticism as another weight to pile on yourself, you view it as a door you can walk through to GROW.

The funny thing is, we always get the right messenger at the right time to help us do that growing.

It’s not always fun, but it’s always perfect šŸ™‚

I had a messenger show up for me after last night’s Big Self Blueprint event. My messenger was an attendee who found the event of little value. Who found some of it offensive.

This is a messenger for which I am extremely thankful.

For once in my life, I actually said something real that wasn’t for everyone.

This is directly applicable to your work with clients.

Because if you’re serving something that anyone will happily eat, then you aren’t TRULY feeding too many people.

And soon, people will tire of what you have. Because you’re not REALLY speaking to anyone on a deep enough level.

But when you get to the point that what you do and who you are actually REPELS people, then you know you’re making progress. Because you’re clearing the line of sight between you and the people for whom what you have and do is right.

And that’s something for which you can be extremely grateful.

P.S You have the guts to stand for something… both in your life and in your client work. Some people will find it offensive… other people will send you letters like this:

“I certainly appreciated your webinar last night. My intuition led me to go out on a limb and pay the fee, and you know something, Iā€™m glad I followed it. At this time, I am experiencing a seasonal slump when clients are normally unavailable for my mainstream service; and the fee itself threatened my ability to make ends meet. However, I immediately saw that I was in EXACTLY the situation you outlined (solo service provider, giving away my power, and needing to banish fear and connect with my Big Self), and so I figured you would share with me what might help pull me out of my current misfortune. I am very happy to report that I was not mistaken and that my instincts had not led me astray. You have provided me with not only new tools but a better perspective on my true responsibilities.

I want you to know I respect what you have done, what you have learned, and what you are sharing with us. As I inch forward to finding my purpose in life (as well as the vehicle and framework for its propagation), I look forward with great delight to your insights…”
