For some reason, we’re often the last people to understand just how valuable we are to our clients.

It’s kind of like fish.

Fish are pretty much the last to realize they’re swimming around in water.

They just can’t see it because it’s everywhere, and it’s all they know.

Everyone on the outside can easily see the water, without question. But the fish, they’re clueless.

In business, just about everyone wants more money. But a lot of people simply aren’t prepared to receive it.

It’s hard to receive big amounts of money (for any extended period of time) if, at some level, you don’t think you deserve it.

Now don’t worry, we’re not going to have a pity party here. Feeling sorry for yourself doesn’t help a soul and it’s a great way to annoy those around you.

If you can’t see your value…

If you can’t feel just how valuable what you do is…

Then there’s going to be a huge disconnect for you when you’re working with clients.

Your value is just like the water to the fish. It’s all over the place, but it’s often invisible to you.

If you don’t believe in your value, it’s hard to sell it. And if you can’t sell it, you’re never going to get paid for it.

For me, my confidence has developed over time. There are tools you can use to “brainwash” yourself into the right frame of mind when you need it. If you need something like this, get it now. Don’t waste another day as the small you. Life is too short.

Develop the habit of seeing and believing in your value and it will get easier. Keep working on it and, one day, you’ll finally believe the truth. From there, there’s no going back.

It sounds funny that we even need to do this, doesn’t it? But the system wasn’t designed to foster this in people. It was designed to squash it. So at this point in human evolution, a little extra work is sometimes necessary.

If you’re not attracting clients to work with you, ask yourself if you would work with you?

If that little weak voice inside of you whimpers, “Maybe…” then you have just discovered where to focus.

Confidence is contagious.

Belief is contagious.

The work to develop both is worth it.

See you next time,
