Abdicating the Throne

The Desert of Arizona
Partly Cloudy 53 Degrees

If you listen to the sheeple about how to run your service business (and your life, by the way), you’re going to run into trouble.

Your business is your kingdom. You make the laws, you enforce them. No one else.

The market is free to think and say what they will about your choices. You are free to make new choices should you see fit.

You can do whatever you want, provided you are ready to accept the consequences. I choose to give first via a media platform and then reap the harvest and be grateful as it grows.

But if you allow the kingdom to rule the master, you will be miserable.

So by all means, build your business the way YOU want it to run.

Don’t want to talk on the phone all the time? Don’t do it.

Don’t want to have to return emails right away? Don’t do it.

Don’t want to do the work THEN get paid? Then get paid first.

Don’t want to do proposals? Don’t. Figure out how to sell another way that makes the “proposal game” obsolete.

If you do not take control of your kingdom, if you abdicate the throne and disappear, your universe will descend into chaos.

It might not look like it on the outside, but it will probably feel like it on the inside.

Do you even know what the laws of YOUR land are? Have you made them known to others?

Ever feel like your business is running YOU? That’s a clue it’s time to ascend the throne.
