What exactly does it mean to become an Incomparable Expert™?
What it means is that clients stop hiring you so much for the service you provide and they start hiring you because they want YOU to be the person doing the service.
This is a game changer. Because once that starts to become true, everything about your business and work can change.
Why would anyone pay you double or triple to perform a service thousands of others could do?
They’d pay you that because they don’t want the thousands of other people… they want you.
If you’re going to be an Incomparable Expert™, two things have to be true:
First, you have to be great at what you do. (This is the easy part.)
Second, you have to have some way for prospective clients to want you to be the one that performs the service above every other choice they have.
This is the gradual outcome of launching a media platform. A media platform is about DEMONSTRATION, it is not about selling.
Demonstration is what happened last night in my home. My wife invited someone over who was training to do food demonstrations. Turns out, she was selling cookware. She was selling the most expensive cookware I’ve ever bought in my life by a factor of about 30.
But by the time the woman came to our home and began cooking our dinner and left 3+ hours later, with all my children fed (11 people total!), with crispy fried chicken made without oil and after giving us a taste test of all of the crap leached into food by teflon (the devil), aluminum, and even cast iron, the sale was done.
Was she an expert salesperson? Doesn’t matter so much if you know that the art of demonstration is far more powerful than “selling.”
You can do a lot of demonstration in 3 hours.
Demonstration gets the message through that you are different. Because demonstration gives your prospective clients the raw materials they need to sell themselves on you.
