So there’s an interesting thing that happens when you do the work required to be a leader in your field.
Basically, over time, you start to emerge from the crowd and rise above everyone.
Pretty soon, you find yourself out in front of your entire market. You’ve earned the position and now everyone’s looking at you. (EEK!)
When you’re “out in front” like this, it becomes impossible to push to get what you want. A train locomotive doesn’t PUSH the cars where it wants them to go, it pulls them. You can think of it like attraction really.
The locomotive is going somewhere and it gets everyone else to follow. Yes, those train cars are attached to the locomotive, and that’s the point. That connection of trust and credibility you’re building with your prospects connects you to them.
And then when you start moving, they come along!
The best place to attract is from out in front. Being out in front, becoming a LEADER in your space, means that there’s nothing to PUSH. You’re out in front of everyone, so the only way you can get anyone is to attract them towards you.
This is why attraction is so important. Because if you’re truly committed to being a leader, then it’s the only way to get clients! Any other way (hard selling etc.) just messes with your prospect’s perception of you as a LEADER.
Becoming a leader isn’t a goal you set for yourself, it’s a symptom of reaching another goal. The real thing to pursue is the creation and development of trust and credibility with a certain group of people.
How are you doing that? The answer isn’t a one shot deal. It should be built into your SYSTEM so that you’re doing it on a regular basis.
If you aren’t, then get onboard my train and start doing it. Each month, you’ll get a new piece of the puzzle.
There’s no long list of “bonuses” for joining. If you need those to take action, this isn’t for you.
