Struggle is a funny thing. Especially when it comes to struggling with money and business.
Some people struggle for a little while and then rise above it.
Some people struggle for much longer and eventually find their way through.
Some people live struggle every single day and never get out.
That last phrase is the one that best describes my first 15 years “out on my own” in the world of business. Every day was struggle.
Every morning brought a nervous look at the bank balance and a mad dash to figure out what games I had to play to make ends meet for the day.
It was a terrible feeling. And I got really good at it.
Now I’m a smart guy. Unfortunately, I was smart in all the wrong things!
So finding my way out of this struggling maze took a fair bit of time. I’m sure many have done it quicker.
But it was slow for me.
The primary issue was that I was too “smart” to realize what the real problem was.
- Surely it wasn’t me.
- Surely it wasn’t my thinking.
- Surely it wasn’t my speaking.
- Surely it wasn’t my actions.
Clearly, I had a lot to learn. Because the problem wasn’t a “what,” it was a “who.” And that WHO was me.
Luckily, I stuck with it until I got the required lessons.
And then one day, I managed to shift enough that “the struggle” left the building. And it was told it is no longer welcome in my field.
It is my understanding that you were not put here to struggle.
It is also my understanding that we have far greater control over this than we are led to believe.
So, I’m making something to help. It’s an upcoming event I’m hosting to address this. Here’s your invitation.
