Working With 342 Clients Without Going Nuts

We’re kind of trained to think that “client work” means you work with one person at a time. While that’s certainly one way to go, I think there are probably far more opportunities out there that this type of habitual thinking keeps us from seeing.

What if you were able to work with 342 clients at the same time without going nuts? I don’t mean YOU personally, I mean something you created. What would that look like? What could that look like?

For example, when I created the Platform Lab, it was designed to help people think strategically about how to design a media platform. I started doing these one on one with clients at first. That was mainly to get the process clear, consistent and refined. Then, it went to a group format where I was still pretty involved.

Now, it’s a “D.I.Y.” version with me offering feedback.

I’m doing the same thing with the Lead Lab. This first time through, it’s very hands on. I’ll see how it goes, work out any kinks and maximize the value it provides to the people involved.

Eventually, I’ll step back and watch the process run.

Should you work with clients one-on-one? Should you work with them many to one? Should you work with them in a way that allows you to work ONCE and provide that solution to many people without a commensurate increase in your effort?

Answers to questions like these can’t come from me or anyone else. The answers have to be supplied by YOU.

It’s your business. It’s your life.

The important part is to realize that you only get the right answers if you ask yourself the right questions. And most of us are conditioned to only ask the questions everyone else is asking.
