Who Deserves to Work With You?

Who deserves to work with you?

Doesn’t it sound a little bit arrogant to say something like that? That’s what the remnants of my “brainwashing by the system” say immediately to me.

“Who gave you the right to think like that? Are you really good enough to think like that? Who gave you this permission? Who gave you the authority to think like that?”

The funny thing is that all these questions are a dead end. They are irrelevant. They are a diversion to keep you from realizing something.

You don’t need to be given “the right” or be granted “the privilege” or anointed with “the authority” for much of anything. Who exactly would do the granting anyway? It’s only the people who have the (mistaken) belief that it’s within their power to grant things to others. Sorry, time’s up for thinking like that.

The world is beginning to wake up to this lie. And watch out when they do… it’s all going to change in a blink at that point.

So who deserves to work with you? Do you know? Do you have “qualifications?”

If you’re looking to improve your work with clients, why not think about that?

The real secret to a happy and successful service provider is to master the art of client selection.

Who deserves to work with you and who doesn’t?

If you’re not clear about this, you end up selling yourself into situations where you really don’t belong. You might end up with a lot of work, and maybe even a lot of money. But it won’t feel like you’re getting anywhere.

If you were going to go out and hire an employee, you’d probably write down some qualifications for that individual.

But we go out and “hire clients” all the time without even thinking twice about it.

Maybe we should stop doing that.

Do the clients you have deserve to work with you? Think about your answer and then move forward and act on that clarity.
