Where to Find Your Answers

I ended coaching work yesterday with a client and want to pass along one thing that’s extremely important.

It’s extremely tempting to invest a lot of energy in trying to think yourself from point A to point B.

This is a mistake.

If it was an effective thing to do, you probably would have already done it by now.

It just doesn’t work very well. But people still try.

Think, think, think, think, think.

Do enough “thinking” and you end up taking a mental journey of a million miles only to eventually end up exactly where you started!

How tiring that is. Whew!

This is what I told my coaching client during one of our sessions:

“The answers are to be found in the doing.”

To get your answers, you must DO. You must act.

The world will respond. And in that response, you will find your answer, or a piece of it.

Then you “do” some more. And more clarity appears.

“Doing” isn’t something you endure to get to success, it’s the treasure map that leads you to it!

To really get this takes a huge weight off the shoulders of the eternal thinker. Because now you know that all you have to do each day is wake up and DO.

You must get up off your chair, go out into the world and dance.

That’s where you will find the answers to your questions.

You might wonder just what type of “coaching” this is that I do?

I have to be frank. I don’t have a program or a set course of study. That wouldn’t be fair to you.

You’re not a robot and what is right for one person isn’t right for YOU.

My answers are found in the doing as well. And as we work together, those answers become clear to me:

What do I do in my coaching work?

Here’s what I do:

I give people direction by empowering them to make their unique and individual contribution to the world.

If that sounds like something you want, you can read more about it here.
