Shortcut Guilt

I was trained to feel weird about getting something for nothing…about taking a shortcut to get where I wanted to go.

Taking a “shortcut” or getting a “break” or a reprieve from the struggle literally triggers an emotional release of guilt and “getting away with something.” That’s the wiring. How nice.

The only reason we believe in shortcuts is because we’ve been trained to think the journey must be long and hard.

This is really THE CON of the millennia.

You can’t have what you want until you SUFFER. So get started already!

(This is just a variation on the more destructive theme of “you are so terrible” you can’t truly live until you die idea sprinkled throughout the world. No thank you.)

That’s what they teach. That’s what they want you to believe.

But you have the power. You do have the power to accept their contrived version of the reality they want you to live…

But with that power also comes the choice to withdraw your consent from participating in their made up lie.

There is no long road, there are no “shortcuts,” there is only what makes you feel alive and the way you choose to use that gift to make the world a better place.

If you don’t create the path you walk on, then chances are, you’re walking on one that’s been made to ensure you never find your REAL path.
