RE: One cloudy day in the land of endless sun

Yesterday it got cloudy. Today, it looks like it might actually rain.

It’s a little hard to tell before the sun comes up, but it feels like rain’s coming.

There hasn’t been any moisture falling from the sky in a bit around here, so when a change like this rolls through, you notice it in a big way.

It’s refreshing, it’s different.

In a sea of sameness, “different” accomplishes an amazing feat in today’s noisy world:

It gets you noticed. It piques interest, it attracts focus. It gives you a chance to let them see what you have.

You probably have a clue about what makes you different and better, but that’s only the beginning. A thought inside you is a far cry from your prospective client GETTING the message.

Understanding your differences is the first step to demonstrating them. And that’s the way to go. Demonstrating over time that you are unique in ways that matter to your prospective clients.

Anyone can say anything these days. So “saying” you’re different isn’t enough. You’ve got to SHOW IT. As Dan Kennedy and Matt Zagula say in their trust based marketing book, “Show up different.”

This can take a lot of forms, but the underlying strategy is the same.

When you show up different, a lot of things become easier.

Take the area of fees, for example.

When you package yourself as a unique and more valuable offering in the marketplace, the “that’s more than we usually pay for that type of thing” responses become pretty irrelevant.

“You may be right Mr. Client, but the question here isn’t whether or not you’re going to get the thing done, the question is whether or not I’m going to be the person doing it.”

Lighting the way to “show up different” is what I do better than almost anything. I don’t know why I can “see” the way to go, I just can.

You want to know one of the biggest benefits of doing this work with people?

By the end of it, I’ve helped you develop a completely different level of valuing yourself. Because I’ve taken the spotlight and put it directly on the areas of yourself that make you more valuable than anyone else.

These areas were there all along, you just couldn’t see them.

This has an amazing ripple effect throughout your business and life. Because when YOU fully value yourself and what you do, your clients will too. Want to raise your fees? Then do this work.

Do you want to show up different? Here’s the place to go.
